Croissant-SEMLA

Yesterday morning I went searching for almond croissants. Rewe supermarket usually has them, but yesterday the answer was Tomorrow, perhaps. Tomorrow wasn’t good enough as yesterday was Fettisdagen. Got these pistachio ones (not from Rewe but from a local bakery) instead and it worked as well as the almond ones, if not better - the green makes them look so good. Anyhow; with cardamom flavoured whipped cream, the semla taste is there for sure.

That was a whole brunch.

I’m off to see my family in a couple of weeks and hopefully there’s still semla everywhere. There will be snowy walks on the ice, scream-laughs, parties, hugs, love, sauna, second hand, supermarket visits (one of the best things I know when visiting other countries - Sweden is now another country after living in Germany for 13 years).
