Berlin, Mitte

Special Thursday

February 18, 2018

Thursday.
Johan and I decided a couple of weeks ago that it’s time to take one day off every week and do something special together.
So, we slept in. Slowly made us ready and took the S-Bahn to Mitte to get Johan some new jeans and a sweatshirt. Had ramen, walked until we found oysters & champagne, took the U-Bahn to Prenzlauer Berg and walked up Kollwitzstrasse while it was snowing – hand in hand – it was fucking romantic. And then the tram home to sit side by side, eat cheese and hope for a good night of sleep after walking 15 kilometers.

Don’t know why, but haven’t slept well lately. Yesterday I got so sick that I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. Took a bath and when I got up, I had extremely loud sirens in my ears, my forehead was burning, I saw fire around me and thought I was going to die. Right at the moment when my legs stopped working, Johan was there to slowly help me down to the floor. It felt like the longest elevator ride ever. Reminded me of the first time I fainted, when my dad carried me and I thought I was on a roller coaster.

Pictures are from the special Thursday, from a place where lots of pics are taken every day, that’s why you might recognize them even though you’ve never visited Berlin. Let’s see what next Thursday brings, I am already in love with this new tradition.

Also, I developed a film I shot 4.5 years ago, will scan the pictures and show you some, ok?

Thinking I’m about to die 2 times in 1 week is crazy. I hope this has stopped now! 😉 Thanks for your concern and kind words, Sara!
