Those of you who have followed me for a long time know how much I love to drink coffee and crochet. You also know about my passion for books. Since I moved to Berlin, I have read so much less than before. Much because I can’t get my hands on Swedish books easily. Now I can! Since the Summer, I have been using Nextory, which is a service for E-books and audio books. Good to know is that most of the books are in Swedish, but there is also an English section (see below).
I have started a collaboration with Nextory where my followers get to try their services for free for 30 days (no strings attached, you can end your subscription whenever you want).
Use the code Juto when you register here and you will have thousands of books to read.
You can read/listen to the books on your phone and/or on your tablet. I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like reading E-books, but now I’m hooked. Of course nothing beats the smell of paper books, but when I’m out on the road, I always have books to read and I don’t have to choose beforehand which ones I want to bring with me. You know, sometimes your mood doesn’t fit the books you chose before going away. As you can see, there are also books in English on the menu, so feel free to try it out even if you don’t speak Swedish.
Another great feature is that you can share your subscription with 3 more people in your family. The picture above shows a book I was reading a while ago and standing in line for a concert, I remembered I had books on my phone and it gave me an hour of pleasure instead of restlessness.
Right now I’m listening to an audio book called Hinsehäxan about a Swedish lady who used to be a drug addict and a prostitute. Great company while cleaning my studio.
Thanks to this service, I am reading much more again and I quickly get my hands on new books, which means I don’t have to go to Sweden or spend tons of money on shipping costs. I know some of my Swedish readers are also living abroad, hopefully you’ll be as happy as I was when I learned about Nextory. Also, great if you’re studying Swedish and want to practice the language.
Try it out here. Hope you will like it as much as I do!
