Lizette and her sailors

February 21, 2011

One of the first things I unpacked when I moved into my new apartment was Lizette, the cat. Johan (he’s posting again!) has recently started making some new Sailors, don’t know when he will list them in his shop again, soon I hope 🙂

So much to do, the days go fast. I wonder when I will understand that I actually live here. It takes time to “land”.

Everytime I see those sailors I get the urge of starting my own little project with concrete. So many ideas and so little time!

It's funny how when you move somewhere, certain things MUST be unpacked right away, while others might stay in boxes for quite awhile. As more of your favorite things are unpacked and nestled into their places in your new apartment, you will grasp that you really live in Berlin. xoxo

Ohhhhhh, I really hope Johan puts them up for sale soon. It would be the ultimate gift for my love's birthday in April. Sandra, I'm so glad you guys made a new home for yourselves. I'm feeling the wanderlust, too. I imagine myself in a cozy apartment in Brooklyn one day. To spend my 30s there would be a dream!

    Happy Monday!

Hi Sandra, I've been reading your blog for a while now, but never commented before. I am going through the process of "landing" myself now. I just moved back home to Poland after over 20 years living in Canada. My stuff hasn't even arrived yet – it's coming by ship. I know, I am back in Warsaw now, but it still feels a bit like vacation or a visit. I wonder when I will feel that I am really back home.

I know how you feel. We moved into our new space in November, and I am still getting unpacked! It doesn't help that we had a baby the week after we moved in , I suppose. 🙂 Or that , like you, we are doing renovations… Oh well, even though it's frustrating, the process is also fun and fulfilling.

Sandra! It's been a while since the sailor's girlfriend appeared 😛 Did she finally took the courage to say she was only playing him? hihi
