Long lists

January 25, 2011

Sitting at Aunt Benny making long lists of things to do in the apartment. There are so many questions about our apartment spread out in the comments, maybe you could ask them again (in English please) in the comment field of this post and I’ll do my best to write a post with answers tomorrow or Thursday? It’s good to have everything in one place sometimes πŸ™‚

Also, I’ve bought some new yarns for my new collection of Wrist Worms. The Swedish collection is on sale until sold out.

this is more a question about you rather than the flat but I get a sense from reading your posts that this new life is beyond that which you had imagined. The flat is beyond your dreams, am I right?

Sandra, the apartment looks like it has amazing potential! I am enjoying seeing the progress with you. Are you planning a major renovation/upgrade? How long are you planning to rent this apartment… I mean, are you thinking many years, or just a year or so?

Hello Sandra! I love your apt and I was wondering if you are going to make yourself a snazzy craft room?

Is it me, or this one is like 3 times bigger than the one in Sweden?

Will you paint the floor white too?

Oh, and I must say i fell in love with the tub!

    Good luck!
(I'm not sure, I didn't followed all the details, but are you the owners? if not, I hope -and wish you- your owner will recognize the value you add to his appartment if you left it, not soon of course!)

I'm curious, that's all. Don't worry if you doesn't give an answer, you have better to do!

    Hi Sandra ._.
Are you going to use your furniture from Sweden or you're buying some new stuff? Is there any nice retro furniture store in Berlin?

Can't wait to see it done, I'm sure it will be wonderful !

Forgive me if I've missed the answer to this, but I'm wondering how big your new apartment is. And how different all that extra space feels!

I hope you do not paint the floor white!!! that wood is absolutely beautiful in most of the rooms. Very authentic. I wonder which is the room you will start with, and which is the room you feel is most important in the house. Are you trying to set yourself deadlines? where do you get your inspiration from? Good luck with everything. You are both very brave and I am excited for you.

Making a list is a good thing when you need to get things started. AND it helps you realize that there is A LOT of work ahead of you ;). I don't know if you're the type for schedules, but if you are you shall know that the amount of things you "have" to do will decrease slowly, but surely, day by day :).

Are you going to renovate the apartment room-by-room, or step-by-step (like cleaning everything first, then painting every room, and then furnishing the rooms etc.)?

Which are the things you will leave behind? Will you use all of the "old" decorations in your new apartment, or will you make a fresh start?

Good luck to you, and don't forget to eat and drink between all the painting ;).

(Sorry if my English sounds a bit odd, I'm a bit tired so it's hard for me to concentrate on the language ;)…)

[…] Tomorrow I’ll reply the questions you’ve had about my apartment (you can still ask if there’s anything you want to know, I haven’t had much time to respond to your questions recently) here. […]
